Slip tongue is important for any hardwood flooring project as well as hardwood refinishing project. Slip Tongue is a spline or small strip of wood or metal used in the hardwood flooring project for making a corner of a step, milled to meet the hardwood floor in the horizontal plane, and also to meet the riser. Slip tongue is often used when it is necessary to reverse the direction of the flooring to extend it into a closet or hallway.
